The Idea that Never Came
The Idea that Never Came is a children's book I developed over the course of several months. It is a 20-page illustrated story about a young girl who has an idea, but forgets it before she is able to jot it down. From there, she speculates the whereabouts of her idea before they are reunited on the last spread. I was particularly inspired by paper lightboxes when sketching the illustrations, taking layer and depth into consideration for each scene.
